Job Title: Payroll Accountant

Reports to: Manager HR Shared Services

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To implement the pay and administration
system and staff welfare in line with the HR
policy.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurate and timely preparation and processing of the expatriate and national payroll.
• Reconciliation of the payroll entries against all the relevant documentation to support each item in the payroll prior to processing.
• Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of all payroll related information to protect staff privacy and ensure accurate pay-outs.
• Maintaining a tracker of all payroll related queries as they arise to ensure future reference to avoid re-occurrence.
• Compiling and maintain all signed off documentation that is required to support the approval of the payroll prior to the payroll submission timelines to ensure timely payroll processing and reviews.
• Continuous improvement of the payroll process to ensure synchronized coordination among the teams involved in the payroll process to fast track the relevant timelines.

• Implement the HR Information management system and ensure timely and accurate generation of related reports.
• Implement the salary and administration processes for both national and expatriate staff with the support for all related documentation.
• Prepare, maintain and update expatriate information in line with expatriate handling procedures.
• Update and maintain staff probation /confirmation records as deemed.
• Timely preparation of all payroll related reports on a monthly basis.
• Update and maintain database of staff in acting positions and follow up on their confirmations.
• Plan, develop and implement welfare services and facilities in line the approved budgets.
• Provide any other administrative support to the HR functions as and when required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or Business Administration
• Minimum of at least two years’ experience in payroll administration in a busy institution.
• CPA Level two as a minimum requirement.
