About the role
Are you ready to shape the future with a dynamic team In Buzwagi,Tanzania? We’re looking for passionate individuals to operate our manufacturing facilities safely, efficiently, and effectively, meeting all production and distribution requirements.In this role you will be responsible to efficiently and effectively address production and distribution requirements. Provide a quality service in the manufacture of bulk emulsions to our customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
What you will be doing
Safety and Health:
Maintain safe working practices to ensure no injury to self or others.
Regularly inspect plant and equipment to ensure they are in good order.
Carry out housekeeping tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
Promptly report all unsafe working conditions and accidents to the supervisor.
Minimize environmental damage through waste minimization and control.
Wear all PPE as required for specific tasks.
Ensure all emergency equipment and First Aid kits are complete.
Actively participate in Safety Meetings, Tool Box Talks, etc.
Ensure prestart checks are properly done and recorded before operating the boiler, plant, and forklift.
Acquire necessary qualifications to become the site 1st aider and SHE Representative.
Represent the site in weekly client SHE Rep meetings.
Actively participate in the Mining Services safety program.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Operate the forklift, load and offload goods safely, adhering to the forklift operating procedure.
Ensure products are delivered to customers and Orica Depots to meet demand schedules.
Maintain manufacturing plant and delivery vehicles/tankers according to schedule.
Provide accurate delivery dockets to customers.
Perform QC testing on incoming raw materials and products being dispatched to customers.
Maintain vehicles in a clean and presentable condition.
Material Requirements and Storage:
Order raw materials in a timely manner and store them correctly.
Display correct accreditation signage.
Ensure all raw materials are correctly labeled.
Quality Control:
Produce products in accordance with the correct manufacturing procedures as per CBT manuals.
Measure and record product quality assurance for later analysis.
Timely calibrate manufacturing equipment and MMUs.
Maintain equipment to provide high levels of service and replace faulty parts as required or instructed.
Administration:
Assist with stocktaking all materials and products as required.
Record details of receipts into and dispatches from the plant.
Other Duties:
Perform other ancillary duties, including gasser and companion solution make-up, noise plant operation, consistent with the level of competence, as reasonably instructed by the supervisor.
What you will bring
2- 3 years experience in a dangerous goods/bulk explosives/heavy industry/process plant environment preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
A strong commitment to working safely and following safety protocols
Manual Handling Experience
Experience in quality control processes, including measuring and recording product
Attention to Detail by ensuring all steps are followed precisely to maintain product quality and consistency.
Mandatory Skills:

LV driving skills and licence
