Exciting Opportunity
Nutrition Intern
Reporting to the NUTRITIONIST.
Purpose: To glorify God by providing optimal nutritional care to patients while gaining work experience and exposure to a variety of tasks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct patients, families and health care staff on individualized diet therapy, general nutrition principles, food selection and preparation
- Conduct nutritional screenings/assessments for assigned patients applying the nutrition care process
- Develop, review and adapt therapeutic and modified diets to meet the needs of individual patients in cooperation with health care staff
- Instruct the catering team on food preparation in diet kitchen for conformance with prescribed diets and standards of sanitation, palatability, appearance and nutritional quality Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics or
- Diploma in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics
