Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, or Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Registration with Uganda Nurses and Midwives
- Certification in HIV Counseling and Testing Additional training in SHR or STI Management is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily DIC operations and safety protocol adherence.
- Providing nursing care: wound management, medication administration and health assessments.
- Coordinating SRHR/HIV services: testing, counseling, referrals.
- Maintaining confidential client records and ensuring ethical compliance.
- Training and supervising DIC staff to maintain service quality.
- Monitoring inventory for medical supplies and equipment.
- Facilitating health education on HIV prevention and reproductive health.
- Collaborating with outreach teams for service access to Key populations.
- Compiling monthly reports on service metrics and client outcomes.
- Engaging with clients to improve service accessibility based on feedback.
Experience:
- 2-3 years in a clinical or public health setting.
- Experience with marginalized populations, especially KEY POPULATIONS, is preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in managing SHR and HIV related services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Community outreach and health education experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, data entry).
