The organization is seeking to fill the position with an enthusiastic individual who is responsible for monitoring project progress and evaluating outcomes to ensure that the program is achieving its objectives and effectiveness as per the organization strategy.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Develop M&E Plan
- Developing and implementing M&E framework and procedure to the project objectives and program strategy
- Prepare and update the M&E tracker and share findings with the program manager to inform programs adjustments, improvements and updates.
Data analysis and management
- Conducting data collection from the project activities and analyze to guide in project performance
- Training staff and partners on M&E tools, methodology and best practices for the organization’s projects implementation strategies.
- Develop and maintain databases, data visualization tools and data MIS
Designing and implementing M&E activities
- Ensure M&E findings and recommendations are integrated with program implementation and decision-making
- Use data collected to develop evidence-based proposals for grant opportunities
M&E reports
- Monitor the sustainability of project results
- Preparing monthly reports and presentations as per donor requirements and as part of internal monthly reviews.
- Preparing progress reports, analysis of trends, successes, challenges and recommendations for improvements
Safeguarding
- Read and understand organization safeguarding policy and code of conduct
- Demonstrate behavior that promotes a safe culture
Education and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Statistics or any relevant social science
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in the non-profit sector
- Qualitative and quantitative skills STATA, SPSS
- Knowledge of data management and data visualization tools, Excel
- Experience in designing and conducting surveys, focus group
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate complex data to different audiences
- Knowledge of international development, humanitarian sector
- Familiarity with donor requirements and reporting
- A valid certificate of good conduct
- A resident of Kwale County is highly preferred
