The Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA) is a business membership organization that represents the interests of importers and exporters in Kenya and the Eastern Africa Region. The council advocates for an improved policy and trade environment, educates shippers on their rights and obligations, and provides networking forums and training workshops for sharing experiences.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Membership Recruitment Officer (MRO) located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The MRO will be responsible for developing job descriptions, hiring, interviewing, and recruiting new members to the council on a daily basis.
Qualifications
• Experience in marketing, sales, customer service, or membership management.
• Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in social media, and email marketing.
• Ability to work independently and meet recruitment targets.
• Creative problem-solving and event planning experience is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
