JOB TITLE: MARKETING & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
PURPOSE:
To enhance marketing and brand visibility. To develop and implement marketing strategies targeting outdoor presence, leveraging on digital marketing tools. To develop, manage and oversee customer value addition & engagement to enhance portfolio growth and revenue growth.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Lead in the development of the marketing strategy and annual marketing plans.
- Develop marketing budgets.
- Develop and present business cases, pricing analysis, and prepare ROl reports on new products and services.
- Establish, maintain, and grow RCL’s digital presence e.g., on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, etc. through regular and consistent blogging, posts, and relevant communication on social networking sites.
- Refresh and maintain an interactive website that is informative, appealing, and useful as both a communication channel and a customer acquisition channel.
- Oversee and/or design all marketing materials (hard and digital), merchandise, physical premises, etc. to ensure visibility and a strong RCL brand presence.
- Spearhead marketing research and innovation to grow RCL’s business and brand equity.
- Establish and manage an effective customer relationships management system ensuring increased customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
- Threading the customer journey through marketing initiatives that will retain existing and/or attract new business.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree in a business-related course, preferably a marketing degree. In the absence of a marketing degree, a professional qualification in marketing e.g. CIM or another marketing diploma.
COMPETENCIES:
At least 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing and products’ development role with demonstrable experience in branding, production of marketing materials, digital/social media marketing, spearheading marketing campaigns, media relations management, public relations, marketing communications, distribution channels set-up and management, products’ development and rollout, marketing research, business analysis and intelligence, customer relationships management, and/or adjacent functions. • Leadership and teams’ management skills.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- Experience within the financial services industry especially in a commercial bank, MFB or credit-only MFI or SACCO.
- Experience working with technologies relevant to marketing and customers’ relationships management such as CRMs, Business Analytics, Al, etc.
- Experience working in a role that interfaces/interacts with a Board of Directors.
- Credible business networks.
