GSK Sacco a NON-WDT Sacco Located in Nairobi Likoni Road is seeking to recruit a potential Marketing officer. GSK SACCO draws its initial members from GlaxoSmithKline Company Ltd but it is open to the public for anyone to join. It offers exciting savings products and loan services to its members. Our portfolio is expanding to cater for our members growing needs.
Job Purpose:
- The position will be responsible for undertaking marketing and member recruitment drive for the Sacco to improve its market position and achieve financial growth. Overseeing membership growth, assets and liabilities growth and products uptake of the society.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Sacco Marketing Plan.
- Do recruitment of new members by setting up initiatives that will support acquisition.
- Screen potential companies for member recruitment and establishment of M.O.Us.
- Daily market visits to aid in member recruitment target achievement. Get complaints/comments and handling complaints at the field level.
- Prepare presentations for prospective customers when recruiting new members to the SACCO.
- Champion Deposits and Savings mobilization to ensure the Sacco achieve its intended targets.
- Lead all internal and external communications for the SACCO including brand identity, SACCO image, media advertisement and Public Relations.
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives and ensure marketing campaigns are executed within budget limits.
- Provide education and training programs to the Sacco members and ensuring regular, timely and effective members and stakeholders communication.
- Handling all marketing and public relations activities of the Sacco
- Promotion of all Sacco products for member uptake
- Follow up calls to ensure member retention
- Customer satisfaction survey to determine trends and areas of improvement.
- Preparation of monthly marketing report highlighting on areas tackled and analysis of member needs as per the targets
- Oversee current offerings and come up with initiatives for new products or services.
- Research and analyze market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
- Sell and market all SACCO products and prospect for new business.
- Prepare marketing materials i.e. brochures, banners, tapes, etc.
- Establish trail of all marketing and sales data and create detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to the CEO and Board.
- Organize CSR activities for the SACCO.
- Any other duty as directed by the CEO.
Job Specifications:
- A diploma in Marketing, Co-operative Management, Economics, Commerce or Business Management, bias in Marketing preferred
- Prior experience in a similar environment preferably a financial institution/SACCO is an added advantage.
- Market intelligence and business development skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve targets
- Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships with customers
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of the internal policies, systems and procedures of a SACCO.
- Creative and innovative.
