Marketing Officer

Background

Our partner, one of Fort Portal’s premier hospitality facilities, is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Officer to join their team. This role is critical to expanding visibility, boosting footfall, and increasing bookings across their guest-centered accommodations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, with a focus on digital and social media management, content creation, and market outreach.

This is a full-time position with remote work and regular travel to Fort Portal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy Development: Design, implement, and monitor a marketing strategy to increase visibility, footfall and drive bookings.
  • Social Media Management: Streamline communication and enhance social media presence across Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and the website.
    Utilize analytics tools to optimize engagement and maintain a content calendar.
  • Content Creation: Produce engaging, high-quality content that reflects the brand’s ethos and attracts a diverse audience.
  • Operations Management: Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and support event organization to ensure smooth marketing operations.
  • Market Research and Partnerships: Conduct research to identify relevant market trends, analyze customer segments, and forge strategic partnerships to boost outreach.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a marketing role, preferably within the hotel, travel, or hospitality sector.
  • Content Creation Skills: Strong writing, editing, and multimedia skills, with a demonstrated ability to create engaging content across platforms.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in using social media analytics and other tools to measure performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt messaging for different channels and audiences.
