ICUPA is an innovative mobile app designed to revolutionize the bar and restaurant experience by offering digital solutions for seamless ordering, secure payments, and personalized customer engagement. We are excited to launch ICUPA in Kigali, Rwanda, and are looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to lead this initiative.

Role Overview

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful launch of the ICUPA app in Kigali. This role involves engaging with bars and restaurants to ensure the deployment of the app, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving app adoption among clients. The manager will also be tasked with setting up and managing a team of sales agents who will actively promote the app to both bars and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the launch of the ICUPA app in Kigali by engaging with bars and restaurants to deploy the app.
  • Build and maintain relationships with bar owners and managers to ensure app integration and sustained usage.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive app adoption and usage in targeted locations.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales agents responsible for promoting the app to bar patrons and driving downloads and usage.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of the sales team and adjust strategies to meet app adoption targets.
  • Organize promotional activities, events, and campaigns to create awareness and drive interest in the ICUPA app.
  • Collaborate with the ICUPA team to provide feedback on user experiences and suggest improvements to the app.
  • Report on market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality, tech, or mobile app industries.
  • Strong understanding of the Kigali bar and restaurant scene.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French is a plus.
