Volcanoes Safaris have been the pioneers of gorilla and chimpanzee ecotourism in Uganda and Rwanda since 1997. We curate safari experiences that combine great ape lodges with wonderful wildlife viewing and behind-the-scenes access to unique conservation and community activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to developing, coordinating, and executing marketing and PR activities.
Contribute to producing and distributing of website, blogs newsletter, and social media content.
Help to leverage PR campaigns.
Assist in updating marketing materials, data sheets, and presentations, including website edits, additions, and SEO.
Prepare monthly marketing reports and social media statistics.
Work closely with the sales team including contributing to weekly sales and marketing meetings.
Work closely with the lodges and safari guides to collect content.
May require travel to VS lodges to accompany fam trips or site inspections or for internal training. May require work outside of normal working hours and occasional weekend work.
Other tasks as directed by the Marketing Manager.
EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Minimum experience of 2 years’ experience in marketing.
Excellent attention to detail.
An interest in hospitality and great ape conservation.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Must be dynamic, articulate, committed, and willing to learn.
Must work well under pressure and be able to meet tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills and communication with staff and guests.
