POSITION: MANAGER – FINANCIAL REPORTING
Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Uganda Limited (JHICU) wishes to recruit a competent, energetic, flexible and committed person to fill the following position of Manager – Financial Reporting. The position holder will report to the Chief Finance Officer.
Role Purpose:
- Manager financial reporting is responsible for the automation of IFRS 17 workflow mapped out from Actisure, OFA to IFRS 17 engine, ensuring that data validation, quality and accuracy plus embedding the same in the business-as-usual process of the company.
- Responsible for timely preparation and updating of financial statements for adequate disclosures and changes based on the ruling regime of IFS standards especially
IFRS 17 – Insurance Contracts. - Steering the planning dialogue for the organization, preparation of board and executive management presentations.
- Support the CFO with regulatory reporting, risk management, monitoring controls.
Main Responsibilities:
- Set standards with regards to planning, reporting and financial analysis.
- Deliver financial and strategic planning, budgeting, forecast reporting, working closely with the CFO.
- Proactively ensure cost effectiveness in various aspect of the business operations.
- Support the CFO in areas such as tax planning, cost optimization using group wide initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and communicate operational measurements, KIs and SLAs.

Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Finance preferably in the financial services sector.
- Deep understanding of planning & performance management concepts coupled with a strong IFRS background.
- Experience in reporting & business
analysis concepts & requirements of a portfolio with high volatile segments.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,
- Economics, Finance & Accounting.
- ACCA / CPA qualifications are a MUST.
