POSITION: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT [MEDICAL CENTRES & HOMECARE]

REPORTS TO: GM-MEDICAL CENTRES & BUSINESS MANAGER-HOMECARE
Job Objective/Purpose
To ensure cost management, collection and reconciliation of financial transactions (revenue and stock) and preparation of reports used at Medical Centres and Homecare.
Key Responsibilities
1.Management accounting: Prepare bi-monthly, monthly and annual management accounts for Homecare and Medical Centres.
2.Budgeting and variance analysis: Collaborate with Homecare Business Manager and Medical Centre Managers to develop annual budgets.
3.Track and analyze monthly expenses against the budget.
4.Audit Management: Manage interactions with internal and external auditors. Respond to all audit queries related to Homecare and Medical Centres. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
5.Tax compliance: Support tax compliance activities, including preparing tax returns and ensuring timely tax payment for Homecare and Medical Centres.
6.General accounting and ledger maintenance: Review financial transactions of Homecare and Medical Centres for accuracy and validity. Ensure correctness and completeness of ledger entries.
7.Inventory management: Oversee inventory management for Homecare and Medical Centres
8.Balance sheet schedules and reconciliation: Ensure timely preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules.
9.Resolve discrepancies arising from reconciliations accurately and promptly.
10.Cost management and analysis: Analyze and manage cost for Homecare and Medical Centres.
11.Identify cost saving opportunities and recommend action to improve financial efficiency.
12.Monitor cost trends and variances and provide detailed reports to management.
13.Maintain client/patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification
•Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
•Professional accounting qualification (eg CPA,ACCA) preferred
•Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
•Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in the healthcare sector.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in an accounting software and Microsoft office suite
