Mall Centre Manager

The Mall Centre Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a retail centre, ensuring its efficient operation and financial performance. The Centre Manager will lead a team of site supervisors, liaise with shareholders, and play a crucial role in maintaining tenant satisfaction, optimizing property values and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring all facilities are functioning efficiently.
  • Monitor security, maintenance, and cleaning services.
  • Enforce operational policies and procedures.

2. Tenant Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants.
  • Handle tenant inquiries, lease agreements, and renewals.
  • Ensure tenants comply with mall regulations and standards.

3. Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the mall’s annual budget.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue generation and cost control.
  • Oversee rent collection and financial reporting.

4. Marketing and Promotions:

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase foot traffic.
  • Organize events, promotions, and partnerships to enhance the mall’s appeal.
  • Collaborate with tenants for joint promotions and seasonal campaigns.

5. Customer Service and Experience:

  • Ensure a positive shopping experience for visitors.
  • Address customer complaints and feedback promptly.
  • Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.

6. Facility Maintenance and Safety:

  • Ensure all facilities, including parking, restrooms, and common areas, are well-maintained.
  • Implement health, safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upgrades.

7. Staff Management:

  • Hire, train, and supervise mall staff, including security and maintenance teams.
  • Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate Management or a related field

2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in facilities and property management, including experience managing retail properties

3. Strong knowledge of property management software and financial analysis tools

4. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and team management skills

5. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities

6. Familiarity with county and national property laws and regulations

7. Strong initiative, drive and sound organizational skills

8. Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills

9. Good project management skills

Physical requirements

The role may require spending significant time walking and inspecting properties

Working conditions

The successful candidate may work both in an office environment and on-site at the managed properties. This

role may require occasional evening or weekend work, especially in response to emergencies.
