MACHINE OPERATOR
(Nairobi, Kenya)
Your Mission
You will manually support production activities or production operators on the line. You will operate a working station with limited complexity or limited SKU/task variation. You will orally communicate or often write about information or issues on the line.
You will work on labeling and packaging finished goods in preparation for shipment.
What You Will Do
The manual operator works in a very simple process with 1 simple parameter to be followed or adjusted on the working station.
- People
- Ownership of personal learning and development plan.

- Communicate basic information or issues verbally or in writing.
- HSE
- Ensure adherence to HSE legal compliance.
- Work to the agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure safety is maintained.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Wear the necessary personal protective equipment, appropriate for the given task.
- Respect the general hygiene measures of the company.
- Follow the agreements made in connection with food safety.
- Complete safety training in time.
- Execute last minute risk assessments: short assessment that is performed immediately before the start of work to identify and exclude all potential safety, health and environmental hazards at the workplace:
- Identify hazards.
- Assess the risks.
- Evaluate the risks.
- Record your findings.
- Quality
- Apply the food safety instructions (fit for work, personal hygiene).
- Ensure adherence to the quality and food safety compliance.
- Service
- Assist in the start-up, conversion and monitoring of own area of responsibility.
- Escalate technical issues according to the agreed escalation flow. Provides support to the technician during technical interventions.
- Ensure a good transfer to the next shift.
- Cost
- Adhere to cost and productivity instructions within the own area of responsibility.
What We Expect From You
- Academic degree: High School Certificate (KCSE).
- Must be able to follow instructions and routines received through a short explanation.
- Forklift Driving License
- Capacity to understand safety and quality basic requirements, and to operate basic programs with repetitive tasks.
