JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that applied loans are accurately processed and timely communication to members is done.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBS
Managerial / Supervisory/ Operational Responsibilities or roles:
a)Attend to members queries on loan enquiries.
b)Accurate and timely appraising and processing of all loans by observing the set policies, procedures, and service charter.
c)Review and validating data/information on all loan application forms before appraisal and forwarding for approval.
d)Collateral management during loan processing and ensuring all securities are properly perfected before approval and disbursement of loans.
e)Make constant communication and follow up with both the guarantors and borrowers on the loan processing status and pending matters for actioning within the stipulated timeframes.
f)Custody and safe keeping of documents during loan processing.
g)Ensure confidentiality of member information on loan processing in line with the code of conduct.
h)Ensure all long outstanding loan processing issues are escalated to the supervisor.
i)Marketing and selling of society products and services.
j)Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum level of academic qualification, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively in the role:
a)A Bachelor’s Degree in a Business management related course or any other related field.
b)Successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya by obtaining the necessary documentation.
Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role:
A professional accounting qualification – CPA K
Minimum level of personal and professional experience required to perform effectively in the role:
Experience in loan appraisal and processing.
Minimum months or years of experience required to have to be appointed to the position:
Minimum 2 years relevant experience and in a in a similar position
