Job Summary:

The Legal assistant will be responsible for handling all legal matters related to the company, including contract management, compliance, and risk mitigation. Additionally, they will oversee financing contracts, manage relationships with financiers, and ensure legal compliance in financial transactions involving clients and the company.

Key Responsibilities:Legal Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Handle legal disputes, liaise with external legal counsel when necessary, and ensure appropriate resolution of legal issues.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international legal frameworks affecting company operations.
  • Advise on labor law and employment contracts to mitigate risks.

Finance Contract & Financier Relationship Management:

  • Prepare and review financing agreements for clients and ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage the company’s financing contracts, ensuring favorable terms and legal compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, and lending partners.
  • Negotiate financing terms and structures in line with the company’s financial strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to financing terms and monitor compliance with obligations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and admission to the Bar. A background in finance, commercial law, or contract law is an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in legal practice, preferably in corporate or financial law.
  • Strong experience in drafting and negotiating financing contracts and agreements.
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, banking, and investment regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
