Position:               Learning and Development Specialist

Role Purpose

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the Learning elements of HR delivery to the business.  This includes coordination and logistics of delivery of both functional and non-functional (Leadership and soft skills) training and programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

▪         Works closely with the Human Resources Director to ensure all key learning and development deliverables are met.

▪         Coordinates delivery of Talent and Learning solutions through 70:20:10 approach to learning, maintains functionality and system stability through working on the system and with any IT partners

▪         Responsible for the coordination of external training, vendor management and ensures all invoices related to Learning are processed in conjunction with the procurement department and produces reports on status and cost

▪         Arranges courses, liaising with participants and trainers where necessary

▪         Responsible for HR Learning platform, usage – administers courses load, schedules participants, arranges and ensures appropriate trainers and maintains training records

▪         Supports functional leads and ensures training records are loaded for Functional Capability programs

▪         Corporate Induction – Co-ordinates and owns the logistics of the Corporate Inductions and maintains attendance records and reports of statistics as required.

▪         Is responsible for the Talent and Learning deliverables and contributing to these and associated service levels being met.

▪         Works with HRBPs to ensure consistency of approach and delivery of agreed training programs.

▪         Contributes to recommendations and proposals in relation to Talent and Learning to ensure continual improvement

▪         Ensures weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting is delivered in time

▪         Oversees SLA and KPI achievement and working towards consistencies in approach and measurement of training ROI.

 

Key Criteria to be successful in this role

▪         Has a deep knowledge of Core Talent and Learning Programs in the business.

▪       Has an expert understanding of online learning platforms and the mechanics of how they work and their ability to facilitate learning and talent in the business.

▪      Is linked into the business issues and operations and is able to offer a consistent solution using online learning platforms and Talent and Learning approach and principles where appropriate

▪   Collates information, data and presents it in a way that allows for analysis, interpretation and the ability to diagnose issues or breaks in service levels and offer solutions

▪    Ability to work closely with and influence key stakeholders and builds effective relationships and works in conjunction with the HRBPs to ensure core programs and initiatives are supported and delivered smoothly

▪         Working knowledge of all components of the HR Operating Model with the ability to clearly articulate the business rationale for each

Experience and Education:

▪         FMCG Experience in a similar role is desirable

▪         Some generalist HR experience an advantage

▪         Learning or Talent expertise

▪         Background in technical applications and the use of data for decision making

▪         Ability to understand, collate and apply information and data into meaningful communications

▪         Ability to demonstrate influence and negotiating skills.

▪         Ability to present information in a logical and effective way

▪         Bachelors Degree in a business-related course or degree in Organizational psychology
