Designation : Lead- Business HR (Uganda)

Reports to : Chief Executive Officer / Director

 

Job Description

Objective: The primary role of this position is to work as a business partner & ensure seamless experience to employees, build performance driven culture & develop human resource to achieve Organization’s objective.

 

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for Manpower Planning & budgeting based on Annual Business Plan

· Lead Uganda HR & closely work with Business Heads & Global HR-Head to drive business growth and goals.

· Oversee and lead the Talent Acquisition responsible for onboarding top talent across various functions and levels. Collaborate with business leaders to understand their hiring needs and workforce planning.

· He/she should be responsible for building assessment tools & technique to assess & identify best talent for the Organization at Leadership role.

· Implement best HR Policies & process considering the best practices and business requirements & to enhance the overall employee experience.

· Ensure & KPI’s are defined for all goal-oriented employees based on Organizational goal.

· Ensure Agile rituals are followed by each team, retrospectives are done quarterly.

· Ensure the bi-annual performance review is done.

· Facilitate annual compensation benchmarking & review.

· Ensure adherence to all the statutory & Social compliances as required by the law of the land, investors & customers.

· Implement and manage the employee lifecycle processes.

· Drive employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives in partnership with HRBPs.

· Deal with disciplinary/grievance issues proactively.

· Oversee HR operations functions such as payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS.

· Ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of HR services to employees in Uganda.

· Collaboration with Legal team and Factory/Plant Heads for HR related legal matters and agreements.

· Ensuring the team is high-performing and an engaged HR function by constantly coaching and mentoring them.

· Coordinate with corporate L & D team for the training & people development needs.

· Proficiency in HRIS/HRMS systems and data analytics.

· An exposure to SuccessFactors implementation, Reporting and Analytics.

Experience

– Proven experience in HR leadership roles, with a minimum of 7-10 years in a similar HRBP or HR leadership role.

– With good grasp of HR best practices & strong knowledge in Statutory compliances

– Ability to efficiently manage senior stakeholders and diverse workforce.

– Effective communication skills, both written and oral

– Open to travel domestically PAN Uganda

– Good interpersonal skills & ability to influence.

Functional Area : Human Resource

Education: MBA Human Resource, Organizational Psychology, Management studies from recognized institution.
