Job Summary: Norvik Hospital Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced IPD In-Charge to oversee the In-Patient Department (IPD) operations. The IPD In-Charge will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of patient care, staff coordination, and department administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital management, patient care, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the IPD, ensuring high standards of patient care and departmental efficiency. Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in line with hospital policies.
2. Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise IPD staff, including nurses, doctors, and support personnel. Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and address any staffing issues to ensure optimal team performance.
3. Patient Care: Ensure that all patient care activities meet the hospital’s quality and safety standards. Monitor patient progress, address patient concerns, and collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement care plans.
4. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of patient information, departmental activities, and inventory. Prepare and submit reports on department performance, patient outcomes, and any incidents as required.
5. Compliance: Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor infection control practices and other safety protocols.
6. Resource Management: Oversee the management of departmental resources, including medical equipment and supplies. Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of necessary items.
7. Patient and Family Communication: Serve as a point of contact for patient and family inquiries, providing updates on patient status and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
• Professional nursing license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within an inpatient setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
