Function: Finance
Reporting to: Finance Director.
Job Purpose:
The Overall purpose is to coordinate communications between Airtel and the investors.
Key Result Areas
- Manage and update the IR database, ensuring accurate investor/stakeholder information is captured and updated.
- Compile investor profiles and assist with investor targeting reports to enhance shareholder engagement.
- Maintain meeting/roadshow notes database and support management to maintain record of investor and capital markets engagements.
- Monitors operational changes through ongoing contacts with company management and develops investor relations messages based on these changes.
- Maintain IR part of the company website, ensuring timeous updates and play active role in improving/enhancing its content, usability, and presentation.
- Monitors analyst reports and summarizes them for senior management.
- Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with stock exchange representatives and Capital Markets Authority.
- Support financial and quarterly reporting, including coordination with relevant functions, collating and auditing of data for production of financial results.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and updated IR materials such as data- and factsheets, Q&A documents, and presentations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with reporting requirements and support preparation and review of market releases, as well as other relevant disclosures and submissions.
- Conduct research for inputs used in the development of verbal and written communications material obtaining interesting facts and statistics.
- Support the annual report (AR) process, including oversight of project plans, management of timelines and design.
- Ensure compliance of the AR with relevant reporting standards and frameworks. Conduct benchmarking on AR best practices and provide reports to recommendations to the management.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business administration, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
- Telecommunications industry experience
- Capital markets experience an added advantage.
- Excellent accounting, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of IR practices, guidelines, and requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
