About the Role
Adapo is seeking a full-time Investment O6icer to oversee the implementation of its strategy and
provide ongoing administrative, compliance, and investment support. The role will involve
managing the execution of Board decisions and supporting the overall governance structure. The
Board Investment O6icer will report directly to the Adapo board (the “Board”) and will be
responsible for ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic goals. This is a full-time position
with a focus on driving impactful outcomes for the organization, key of which is investments.
Key Responsibilities
• O6er comprehensive support to the Board, including coordinating meetings and
executing Board decisions,
• Lead the implementation of Adapo’s strategy, providing regular reports to the Board as
requested,
• Execute and oversee the implementation of action points from the Board meetings,
• Managing relationships with the investment service providers and ensure e6ective
execution of investment-related tasks,
• Under the guidance of the Board, develop and maintain Adapo’s Investment Policy
and any other Company strategic documents,
• Build and strengthen relationships with key Adapo stakeholders, both internal and
external,
• Ensure that the Company remains compliant with regulatory requirements, in line with
the Adapo strategy.
Qualifications and personal attributes:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related degree. A master’s
degree is an added advantage.
2. In-dept knowledge of capital markets, private equity and venture capital markets, asset
markets and investment strategies.
3. Proven experience in investing in the private equity and venture capital markets
4. Proven experience in project management and coordination.
5. Four to seven years of professional experience in investments, portfolio management and
administration.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft tools and presentation software.
7. Strong analytical and communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to
build and maintain professional networks.
8. Highly organized, self-motivated and a passion for community development.
