The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management across all Afyanzima clinics.
Responsibilities
- Product and Inventory Management
- Manage and coordinate product lists for new facility launches.
- Oversee initial stock takes and product valuations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in product details within the Health Management Information System (HMIS).
- Manage the creation and tracking of new Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).
- Inventory Control
- Coordinate regular stock takes & cycle counts across all facilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage stock transfers between facilities efficiently.
- Accurately reflect inventory movements in all management platforms.
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage handling of expired and damaged products.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate product disposal in accordance with established SOPs.
- Stock Management & Reporting
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain updated SOPs for inventory management.
- Provide timely and accurate inventory management reports.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Clinic Transformation, and Operations teams.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven familiarity with pharmaceutical inventory management regulations is a plus!
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and HMIS systems.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Previous experience in healthcare inventory management is a plus!
