MSF is looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position below ;

Job : Workshop Auto-Mechanic Intern

Duty station: Kampala

Start of work : 2025

Main Learning areas/ Tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Motor vehicle servicing with the supervision of senior mechanics in all motor vehicles, Generators, and motor pumps.
  • Spare parts management and special tools stores and
    MSF spare parts catalog.
  • Workshop administration internal processes i.e. opening and closing job cards, filing, etc.
  • Auto-electrical and onboard diagnostic systems (OBD)
    repairs of electronics in vehicles.
  • Tyre management, fit mentation systems, and wheel balancing.
  • Health (First Aid), Safety (Use of PPEs), Environment and Waste Management.
  • Vehicle inspections and reporting on defects and works process flow.
  • General knowledge of the organization and motor vehicle industry.

Education: Final year in Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, seeking industrial attachment. (Evidence of school’s transcripts in the last exams will be mandatory).

Language: English + Local language (Luganda, etc…)

Experience: At least 2-3 years experience in a technical school specializing in Automotive engineering, essential driving license for vehicles, and computer literacy will be an added advantage.

 

Job: Finance and HR Intern

Duty station: Kampala

Start of work : 2025

Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Organizing and preparation (rooms, schedules) for

interviews and tests

  • Support the administration team to improve the transit system of our expats.
  • Prepare documents and organize visa applications.
  • Organise work schedulesfor housekeepers and replacements when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to other departments.
  • Takes responsibility for all filing of administrative documentation.
  • Weekly Preparation of the Daily worker payment based on presented time sheets.
  • Preparation of Per diem payments
  • Assist in making copies for monthly accounting closure
  • Payments of suppliers in a strict but swift manner, in accordance with the MSF purchasing and payment procedures for the mission
  • Prepare cheque payments.
  • Ensure copies of cheques/proof of transfer are always attached to the voucher.
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of monthly accounting, according to MSF.
  • Check and prepare all original monthly paper accounting documents.
  • Receive invoices for payment.
  • VAT (Compiling and making copies on a monthly basis)

Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business Management or HR Management Degree and General Administration.

Experience: Fresh University Graduate.

Competences/ Skills: Team worker, Flexibility; mobility. rigor, pro-activity, able to work with multi-disciplinary and multicultural people.

Language: English is mandatory, and French is a strong asset.

Job: Workshop Welder Intern

Duty station: Kampala

Start of work : 2025

Main Purpose:

Performing autonomously, specific complex / advanced installation, maintenance works and repairs de-pending on the technician’s specialization (requiring special/ qualifications/training), according to supervisor’s instructions and MS standards and procedures, in order to ensure a proper functioning and maintenance of MSF equipment, installations and infrastructures.

Main accountabilities include, but not limited to:

Performing autonomously, all necessary complex / advanced installations, maintenance, and repairs (i.e. requiring special qualifications/training), according to the supervisor’s instructions and executes any needed tests after any repair or maintenance. Including the following function: Welding Support the administration team to improve the transit system of our expats.

  • Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance welding work needed in MSF facilities, equipment, and vehicles and assisting the logistics department for any relative work needed.
  • Managing the stock of welding consumable items, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, and executing orders necessary for renewing stock in collaboration with the storekeeper to avoid any shortage.
    Responsible for the equipment and tools, including acetylene and oxygen cylinders, checking they are correctly stored and safely used, maintaining, and renewing them when necessary, and keeping the inventory updated.
    Keeping the working area clean and tidy.
  • Ensuring that all record sheets and documents related to welding works are always completed.
    Preparing needed reports before and after any repair or required maintenance.

Immediately inform the line manager of any problems that arise in the course of the work, particularly regarding damage, loss, theft or attempted break-ins.

Working in collaboration with other specialized

technicians and workers, if necessary, or managing a small team of workers if any.

Job: Information and Communication Technology, (I.C.T) Intern

Duty station: Kampala

Start of work : 2025

The I.C.T Officer Intern will be working with and under the

supervision of the IT Supervisor.

And the main responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assisting in the installations of wired and/or wireless networks where needed as well as setting up office equipment like printers, video conference systems, Smartphones, and CCTV Cameras among others.

Assisting the deployment of Windows 10, and Office 365 among other software on office laptops

  • Carry out assigned periodic preventive maintenance tasks on the ICT equipment.
  • Provide support in updating ICT Documentation like
  • Network maps, Asset inyentories, and User “How to”
  • Procedures among others
  • Assist in the support given to users to solve their ICT-related problems.
  • Assist in the testing and setup of VHF/HF/Satellite
    Communication devices.
    Follow up with ICT suppliers on products or services like Internet Installations, Printer/laptop repairs, and Communication issues among others

Generate Monthly reports on ICT activities.

Education: Diploma in Information and Communications Technology or equivalent

Experience: Fresh University Graduate.

Competences/ Skills: Team worker, Proactive, Flexible, Good written and Verbal communication, able to work With multicultural people.

Language: English is mandatory, and French is a strong asset.

 

Job: Supply Chain Intern

Duty station: Kampala

Start of work: 2025

Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Procurement:

  • Support procurement team in local, regional and international order management, through strategic sourcing according to MS procedures and guidelines.
    Receive, prepare and submit to the procurement supervisor for review all Invoices and Procurement documents fully compliant with the MSF procedures and regulations, before processing payment.
    Participate in entering data for tendering or market assessment processes.
  • Upon Completion of the Procurement Processes, file and archive the arising documents.
    Taking minutes of departmental meetings.

raising quotations, quotation analysis and preparing procurement documents.

Participate in ERP data entry, cleaning and management.

• Sharing order monitoring updates with field teams according to the available chronogram.

Warehousing- Stock Management

• Receiving items when delivered by suppliers and confirm delivery is according to LPO issued.

Support in Dispatch of consignment to field location, preparing shipping documents. Follow up with field locations on receipt of the items and submission of signed delivery orders from the field.

Participate in both mid and end year physical stock taking, inventory and reconciliation.

With the help of warehouse supervisor and project supply chain manager, plan and do flash inventory, ensure that the report is analysed, signed and achieves

  • Preparation and maintenance of stores records according to MSF standards.
  • Weighing of all consignment to be shipped to the field before handing them to the contracted shipping agent/ transporter.

Transport and Customs

Support Transport Team on updating cargo follow up information (on the board – computer file)

  • Support in preparing internal documents required for importation and exportation of commodities.
  • Participating in loading and offloading of international orders imported, in transit as well as Exports.
    Filing and achieving transport and customs related documents.
  • Supporting transport and customs department by updating the field on all planned shipments.
  • As delegated by the transport and customs supervisor, capture and release customs entry for transit and exports using Asycuda world.
    Support in Dispatch of consignment to field location.

Any other delegated tasks

Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Experience: Fresh University Graduate.

Competences/ Skills: Team worker, Flexibility; mobility, rigour, pro-activity, able to work with multi-disciplinary and multicultural people.

Language: English is mandatory, French is a strong asset
