Call for Internship Applications: Rwanda Medical Association
The Rwanda Medical Association (RMA) is pleased to invite applications for an internship opportunity aimed at recent graduates in any health-related field. Founded in 1997, RMA is the oldest and largest medical association in Rwanda, representing doctors across various specialties. Our mission is to promote professional excellence and uphold the highest ethical standards within the medical profession.
As RMA continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to assist our Administrative Assistant in managing daily activities and contribute to the successful implementation of our ongoing projects, including the Career Development Project.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the health sector while working with an esteemed professional organization. It is an exciting chance for fresh graduates to contribute meaningfully to the medical profession and gain exposure to the daily operations of a medical association.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist the RMA Administrative Assistant in managing daily operations, including organizing meetings, drafting correspondences, and maintaining documents.
- Concept Note Writing: Collaborate with the RMA team to draft high-quality concept notes and reports related to ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with RMA’s strategic goals.
- Project Coordination: Play an active role in supporting the implementation of the Career Development Project, which is focused on advancing the skills and opportunities for healthcare professionals in Rwanda.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on various activities undertaken by the RMA, ensuring comprehensive and accurate records of project progress.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Contribute to the ongoing professional development initiatives organized by RMA, ensuring that doctors stay updated on the latest healthcare innovations and standards.
This internship will expose the intern to diverse tasks essential for the smooth running of a professional medical association, offering both learning and networking opportunities within Rwanda’s healthcare landscape.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Fresh graduates in any health-related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
- Writing Skills: Excellent writing and reporting skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise concept notes and reports.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to shared objectives.
- Interest in Healthcare: A genuine interest in contributing to the improvement of healthcare systems and professional development for medical practitioners.
