Job Description:
Patrickgold Microfinance Bank is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Control Officer to strengthen our financial and operational systems. This role is ideal for a self-driven professional with a strong background in accounting and internal controls within the microfinance banking sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard the bank’s assets.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with financial and operational policies.
- Identify and address potential risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the bank’s financial controls and reporting systems.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to existing processes and systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations for management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Internal Control Officer or Accountant in a Microfinance Bank (mandatory).
- ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) certification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing microfinance banking.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
