Overview

Magezi Harvest Limited, on behalf of Great Value Safaris Ltd invites applications for a 1-month non-paid online internship in Digital Marketing for Tourism. This programme is designed for final-year students or recent graduates from Ugandan universities and colleges, particularly those interested in establishing a career in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Interns will commit 2-3 hours daily to participate in intensive online training and activities that cover the fundamentals of digital marketing, with a specific focus on promoting tourism in East Africa. Upon completion, interns will receive a certificate of participation. Outstanding interns (top 3-5) may be selected for retention as tour or safari consultants with Great Value Safaris.

What to Expect

1. Digital Marketing Foundations

  • Comprehensive training on core digital marketing skills, including social media marketing, content creation, email marketing, and SEO.

2. Tourism Industry Insights

  • Gain knowledge about the East African tourism landscape, industry trends, and customer engagement strategies relevant to tourism and safari consultancy.

3. Hands-On Experience

  • Practical exercises and projects that will allow interns to apply their knowledge and demonstrate skills that are essential in tourism marketing.

4. Certification

  • All participants who complete the program successfully will receive a certificate of participation, recognizing their commitment and the skills they’ve gained.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Final-year students or recent graduates from a Ugandan university or college, majoring in tourism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Interest in Digital Marketing and Tourism: Must demonstrate a strong interest in digital marketing, with a passion for tourism.
  • Technical Requirements: Access to a computer and stable internet connection for effective participation in online sessions.
