Job Description:
News & Books Media is seeking a dynamic and passionate Intern Journalistto join our team. This role is specifically designed for someone eager to venture into the world of journalism with a focus on storytelling that resonates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Research and Selection: Identify and research potential guests for our online channels who have compelling, inspiring stories. This includes but is not limited to business leaders, artists, individuals, authors, scholars, activists, and community leaders.
- Interview Coordination:Arrange, schedule, and conduct one-on-one or telephone interviews with selected guests.
- Content Creation: Prepare engaging questions that will elicit insightful responses, enhancing the narrative for our audience.
- Record interviews ensuring high-quality audio for post-production.
- Content Management: Assist in the editing process by providing raw interview materials to the editorial team.
- Help in drafting show notes, social media snippets, and other promotional materials related to the interviews.
- Platform Engagement: Work closely with the digital team to ensure content is optimized for our online channels, potentially involving some social media interaction.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a journalism, communications, or related field program(including enthusiasts with natural talent).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Basic understanding of audiovisual recording equipment and editing software is a plus.
- Must be proactive, with a keen eye for stories that inspire and motivate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
