We wish to recruit a

highly competent, proactive, and self-driven person to fill the position of:

INSURANCE RELATIONSHIP OFFICER

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the holder of this position will focus and deliver on the following key responsibilities:

  • Identify potential customers and develop strategies to promote micro-insurance products to the target market.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with various institutions, community-based organizations, and local businesses to increase the reach and distribution of insurance products.
  • Conduct awareness campaigns, workshops, and training sessions to educate the target market about the benefits of microinsurance.
  • Prepare day to day report on enrolment and claims
  • Monitor the performance of insurance products and report to the Insurance coordinator of any discrepancies
  • Assist in Preparing monthly report on MFI’s insurance KPI
  • Prepare monthly report on insurance costs and revenue
  • Report on social performance improvements through insurance benefits
  • Support communication team, prepare client stories for feeding into VFI webpages
  • The officer in partnership with different insurance companies must ensure all client claims are settled accordingly.
  • Must ensure accurate data capture on claim forms and insurance products.
  • Innovatively design promotional programs, outreach events to ensure sales of the products.
  • Support in training sales staff, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of micro insurance products and their integration with our financial services.
  • Educate clients on the benefits and importance of micro insurance, addressing any concerns or misconceptions.
  • Organize workshops and awareness campaigns to promote micro insurance among our target audience
  • He/she will be the Insurance sales champion according to the agreed targets, participate and contribute to the | Business Development Department, and document the results, to achieve the desired Insurance objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal Candidate should possess a Business-related course from a recognized College/University and must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Insurance sales in a microfinance or financial institution.

Demonstrates strong sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with minimum supervision are key attributes. A certificate in micro-insurance will be an added advantage.

The candidate must be a professing and practicing Christian, whose conduct and depth of character is governed by personal Christian convictions.
