Key Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting To Instrumentation Engineer, The Successful Candidate will;
- Devise, select, and set up electronic instrumentation and related electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic apparatus used in the group.
- Translate instrumentation test data to formulate Engineering designs and evaluation decisions.
- Schedule and carry out periodic preventive/corrective maintenance and calibration of all instrumentation gadgets.
- Select and ensure strategic positioning and installation of instrumentation gadgets on all projects and modifications.
- Develop specifications for non-standard instrumentation apparatus according to engineering data, characteristics of equipment under test and capabilities of test apparatus and will advise the engineering team on the quality of instrumentation gadgets required.
- Conduct regular inspections, condition monitoring and maintain integrity and quality of all process instruments.
- Carry out preventive/corrective maintenance and calibration of all instruments and test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
- Maintain log records.
- Ensure that all instrumentation gadgets in plants are functionally operational to effectively support quality and efficiency during production.
- Work along with electricians for improvement projects, modifications, new installations and shift activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Instrumentation Engineer and Electrical & Instrumentation Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of instrumentation working experience which should be in engineering environment.
- Strong general management and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Must be good at application of creativity and innovative skills in managing projects.
- Should have good analyzing skills as well.
- Should be a problem – solver and be able to grasp the problem at hand and take quick steps to resolve it.
- Ability to develop, formulate strategy and exercise good judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
