Job Title: IT Manager
Our company is located in Mtwapa, Kilifi County along the main Mombasa – Malindi Road. We are in the business of processing pulp and concentrates, juices and water for sale under a reputable brand.
Job Summary: The IT Managerwill be responsible for developing digital app and providing technical support and assistance to the organization’s staff and other stake holders, and maintaining computer systems, networks, and software.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop Digital app, register farmers, coordinate with field team and provide technical support to app users, including employees, farmers and other stakeholders.
Monitor and maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet connections.
Keep an inventory of all hardware and software and ensure proper asset management.
Monitor and manage data input from various users, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data related to farm produce, prices, inventory and other transactions.
Ensure seamless integration of the app with other systems and databases, including payment gateways, inventory management systems, and supply chain networks.
Use analytical tools to monitor app performance metrics like uptime, load times and user engagement.
Liaise with farmers, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Create and update user manuals, FAQs, and training materials to assist users in navigating and utilizing the app effectively.
Setting up, managing, maintaining, and securing social media accounts for the organization.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in developing and managing mobile applications, especially those related to agriculture, e-commerce, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with app development processes, databases, and Applications Programming Interfaces.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and security protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
- Knowledge of the agricultural sector and supply chain management is a plus.
