The ICT Security Officer will report to Manager ICT Security and will be based at Head office. He/she will be responsible for securing the operation and administration of Pride’s internal and external network, servers and network security systems for the smooth operation of the business.
Specific responsibilities include: –
• Implement, configure and maintain the Pride’s security controls as per IT Security Policy
• Install security tools (e.g., firewalls, data encryption) to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor Pride’s compliance with software and hardware licenses and monitor SLA’s with both internal and external entities
• Monitor IT Controls and report exceptions
• Monitor the Pride’s networks and systems for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
• Participate in periodic IT security audits
• Participate in the annual review and update of Operating Procedures to improve control guidance, test procedures, and reference documents
• Participate in the preparation and development of compliance testing scope for the year
• Prepare security reports and highlight any compliance issues to ensure that system users are monitored in line ICT Policy
• Research the latest information technology security trends and recommend enhancements to IT Management.
• Run vulnerability checks to confirm that systems are in line with ICT policies and guidelines.
Minimum academic qualifications, Experience & competences;-
• Bachelor’s Degree IT, Computer Science, Business Computing or equivalent
• Industry specific training CISSP, CISM, MCSE, CISA, CEH Training desirable
• At least 2 years managing medium size enterprise particularly Microsoft, Cisco, UNiX, Linux environment managing information security function
• He/she should not be more than 40 years
