Position: Human Resources Business Partner

Main Responsibilities

Strategy

  1. Develop and implement human capital plans aligned with long-term strategic objectives.
  2. Identify key positions and create succession plans for leadership and critical roles.

Operations

  1. Participate in annual HR strategy planning and drive implementation.
  2. Execute strategic initiatives, including organization design and HR planning.
  3. Present recruitment needs and communicate staff movements to the Head of HR.

Performance Management

  1. Oversee the Performance Management process and prepare quarterly reports.
  2. Guide goal setting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Learning and Development:

  1. Develop and oversee staff induction programs.
  2. Ensure learning and development activities stay within budget

Corporate Governance:

  1. Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  2. Adhere to Ugandan laws, insurance industry regulations, and company policies.

Academic Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree is an advantage.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
  3. Higher Diploma in HRM or progress in CHRP.
  4. Full Member of IHRM with a valid practicing certificate.

Relevant Experience:

  1. Minimum of eight years in a similar role, with three years in a supervisory position.
  2. In-depth understanding of the insurance sector’s talent landscape and skills in talent retention and development.
