Position: Human Resources Business Partner
Main Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop and implement human capital plans aligned with long-term strategic objectives.
- Identify key positions and create succession plans for leadership and critical roles.
Operations
- Participate in annual HR strategy planning and drive implementation.
- Execute strategic initiatives, including organization design and HR planning.
- Present recruitment needs and communicate staff movements to the Head of HR.
Performance Management
- Oversee the Performance Management process and prepare quarterly reports.
- Guide goal setting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Learning and Development:
- Develop and oversee staff induction programs.
- Ensure learning and development activities stay within budget
Corporate Governance:
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to Ugandan laws, insurance industry regulations, and company policies.
Academic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
- Higher Diploma in HRM or progress in CHRP.
- Full Member of IHRM with a valid practicing certificate.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of eight years in a similar role, with three years in a supervisory position.
- In-depth understanding of the insurance sector’s talent landscape and skills in talent retention and development.
