Job Description
The Recruiter provides key support in all HR functions including but not limited to talent acquisition and onboarding, personnel file management, administration of the human resource information system, and assisting in the human resource admin activities on a day-to-day basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition:
- Under the guidance of the Senior Human Resource Officer, take charge of all recruitment activities (job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, recruitment, contracts, and personnel files), including but not limited to sourcing applicants through multiple strategies, including online channels and job fairs;
- Create job descriptions and interview questions, shortlist the most suitable talent from available candidates, and plan and schedule screening, assessments, and interviews.
- Develop and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience.
Staffing planning
- Support the Identification of staffing needs in collaboration with HR leadership and develop job descriptions, qualifications, and timelines for open roles.
Screening & Interviewing
- Review applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Ensure interview processes are structured and aligned with organizational needs.
- Assess candidates’ information, including CVs, portfolios, references, and required background checks.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruiting activities, including applicant tracking, interview feedback, and candidate evaluations.
- Prepare all relevant documents, forms, and contracts and ensure timely collection of information and coordination with relevant departments through the recruitment and onboarding process.
Candidate Experience:
- Foster a positive candidate experience through effective communication and engagement at each stage of the hiring process.
- Facilitate the timely enrollment of new staff into the medical benefits plan and GPA and support issue resolution. Advise employees of eligibility, provide application information, help with form completion, verify submission, and notify employees of approvals.
- Provide orientation for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining signatures for documents.
- Stay informed about regional and local trends, challenges, and opportunities related to recruitment.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor recruitment metrics, striving for continual improvement in the recruitment process.
- Ensure compliance with RTV policies and applicable laws throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide regular updates to management on recruitment activity and candidate pipeline through the development and timely updating of the RTV recruitment trackers.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report on key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, offer acceptance) and provide insights to improve recruitment strategies.
- Support the maintenance of all talent acquisition and management processes and data and provide regular reports on progress and outcomes.
Requirements and Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or any related discipline.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.
- 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in human resources.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge and experience of HR data management processes and systems with the ability to analyze and interpret numerical data and processes
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods, and knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with trends and best practices.
- Demonstrable skills in digital media outreach and HR databases.
- Experience working with an International NGO.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of HR information.
- Well-organized and process-oriented and with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to perform with limited supervision.
- Excellent IT skills, including HRIS, MS Office, and Google Suite.
- Strong training and facilitation skills.
