Reporting to the HRBP Africa/EMEA, this role will primarily work with the HRBP, Global HR team – GHR AVP and CGA Chief Financial Offer, Financial Controller and Finance Officer, as well as CGA’s Managing Director Technologies. This includes day-to day HR generalist role which includes recruitment support, payroll administration, performance management, benefits management, HRMIS management.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Ensure that country offices adhere to employment standards, and CORUS policies and procedures
- Coordinate the recruitment process including, preparation of job adverts, circulation of job advertisements, receiving applications, communication to candidates as well as recruitment panels throughout the recruitment process and supporting with recruitment and engagement.
- Provide technical interviewing support to line management as delegated by supervisor
- Initiate and follow up on reference checks, ensure that other background checks e.g. Bridger are performed before offers are send to successful candidates.
- Support the compensation review process including salary surveys and preparation of compensation schedules
- Manage staff benefits and act as the key liaison person with the insurance companies with regards to Medical and any other Insurances, in coordination with CGA Finance Officer
- Manage Leave-Ensure appropriate leave authorization and administration as per policy
- Manage payroll – Responsible for staff payroll other benefit processing and management including; payroll update, working closely with Finance support with annual statutory returns including tax, national pension and hospital fund..
- Monitor, initiate, and prepare staff employment contracts; and the termination and separation clearance process up to file closure
- Manage and update staff records i.e HRIS including EDSS, ADP, ApplicationPro and Culture Amp etc
- Support with staff performance management including probation and annual performance evaluation
- Coordinate staff training and provide relevant support to all training interventions
- Counsel and advice staff on personal and work-related issues including providing guidance and direction to management team and employees on human resource related topics.
- Assist Regional HR and CGA Management in disciplinary management, follow up and documentation.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor of Art degree with a major in Business Administration or Human Resource Management
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience.
- Experience required working with USG-funded programs, good understanding of Labor laws, NGO Act and other relevant laws.
- HR Professional Membership will be an added advantage.
