HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Anvil Shield Holdings is a one-stop shop for financial solutions and tech services, dedicated to fostering inclusion and growth by bridging financial gaps for fostering businesses and individuals. We are looking for a capable individual to take up the role of a Human Resource Officer.

Roles, Responsibility & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote diversity awareness in hiring practices
  • Mentor managers on employee development best practices
  • Responsible for administering performance management program
  • Advise leadership on hiring and terminations
  • Provide guidance on employee behavior and conflict resolution
  • Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints
  • Partner with leadership to develop succession plans
  • Coordinating with HODs/ Branch Managers to identify staffing needs
  • Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely, organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
  • Advertise staff vacancies, assess applications, interview applicants, administer selection tests, prepare reports and make recommendations to management about staff appointments.
  • Determining selection criteria.
  • Sourcing potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • A degree in the field of Human Resources, Business Management, Social Sciences, law or related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Higher Diploma (KNEC) in Human Resource Management
  • Must have CHRP
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Human Resource Officer
  • Strong and firm understanding of the Employment and Labour Laws
  • Member of IHRM
  • HRMIS practical knowledge and Payroll knowledge and processing will be an added advantage
  • High level of integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and report writing skills.
  • High initiative and ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a team member
