Job Title: HSE Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop preventative strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate health, safety, and environmental information to employees and stakeholders.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Monitor and audit health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of health, safety, and environmental incidents, audits, and training.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Liaison with Clients: Liaise with clients on safety-related issues.
- Completing and Reviewing Risk Assessments: Complete and review risk assessments and COSHH assessments (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
- Monitoring Legislation: Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and upcoming health and safety legislation and ensure the business has systems, policies, and practices in place to meet legal compliance.
- Safety-Related Engineering Input: Provide safety-related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
- Participate in HAZOP Meetings: Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
- Managing Day-to-Day Health and Safety Matters: Manage the day-to-day health and safety matters on site.
- Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees on health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Environmental Management: Implement and monitor environmental management systems and procedures.

Salary
N140,000 Monthly.
