The Head Strategy will report to the Managing Director and will
be required to develop the Bank’s strategic plans and projects,
oversee and support monitoring and reporting on their
implementation. He/She will be accountable for leading all
internal processes for competitor benchmarking, industry
intelligence and research, consumer knowledge, product
development and development of strategic initiatives as well as
coordinating donor funding.
Specific Responsibilities include: –
• Coordinate the development and review of the corporate and
department plans of the Bank in line with the projected
business growth levels thus ensuring the successful support of
the Bank ‘s business plan.
• Drive the development of the Bank wide strategies utilizing
and capitalizing on competitive market intelligence.
• Lead the implementation of the diverse or related portfolios
of initiatives (Program management) in a congruent manner,
identify cross functional impacts and uncover potential
synergies in the planning & execution of strategic initiatives.
• Support the EXCO in the cascading of strategic objectives
across the entire Pride and to monitor their implementation.
• Responsible for the development and refinement of the
Bank’s products and services that support implementation of
the strategic plan.
• Identify, analyse, and monitor all the material strategic risks
that may prevent the achievement of strategic objectives and
propose an action plan to mitigate these risks.
• Provide a thorough and objective assessment of strategic
opportunities and make recommendations to different
stakeholders in line with the Bank’s overall strategy, business
model and risk appetite.
Required Experience for Job Position above:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance Commerce,
Statistics, Business Administration. or any business-related
discipline
• CPA /ACCA.
• 10 years of progressive work experience in the financial
Services sector 5 of which should be in a strategy, research,
business analysis role.
