About the Job

  • We are looking to hire a Talent to lead our Quality and Food Safety team as Head of Quality & Food Safety.
  • He/She will develop and mobilize the local Quality & Food Safety (QFS) Strategy for the Nigeria business and lead end to end quality and food safety compliance & performance.
  • This individual will be accountable and responsible for implementation, verification & continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, Culture of Quality and Quality and Food Safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • He/She will be the single point of contact in Nigeria for Quality and Food Safety.

Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • As the custodian for Quality & Food Safety, brings value to the overall business unit, management & performance.
  • Provide leadership to drive change, culture of quality and transformation.
  • Ensure that Quality & Food Safety constitutes key strategic levers for the monitoring of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with existing food regulations.
  • Manages budget related to the total CBU Quality function.
  • Ensure consistent product food safety and quality and make it a lever of business developpement.
  • Develop a strong Quality Mindset and product superiority culture, across all functions for all Danoners.
  • Boost sustainable and superior Quality from Raw and Pack to Finished Product, compliant with regulation, customer & consumer expectations, at every step of the product life.
  • Develops, steers and maintains Quality & Food Safety Policy & systems, in accordance with Corporate & Division guidelines, including all stakeholders needs.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, people & change management and leadership skills
  • A degree in Food science and technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or any other related discipline with at least 5-10 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably Dairy, Foods)
  • Knowledge of FSMS (FSSC 22000) and QMS is required
  • Knowledge of six sigma and process capability improvement tools (TPM, WCM)
