Role Description

MCL is looking for a deeply motivated and highly experienced individual for the position of Head of Marketing, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability. This role focuses on building MCL’s market presence, growing institutional and product brand equity, managing public and stakeholder relationships, and championing sustainable practices across all operational levels. You ensure MCL puts its best foot forward, whether that is via exceptional product positioning via above the line campaigning, positive goodwill through ‘green’ initiatives or corporate outreach (CSR initiatives). You keep us up-to-date with marketing & sustainability research and intelligence to facilitate data-driven decision making. You connect us to facilitators who can help our business scale, with the ultimate goal of delivering value for MCL stakeholders and shareholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing, corporate affairs, and sustainability plans, aligned to MCL’s digital North Star.
  • Build strong brands to expand market share and grow revenue-generating functions, while firmly positioning MCL as Tanzania’s largest digital content network.
  • Direct internal and external communications, and create opportunities for meaningful public engagement that improves our standing within the community we operate in.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives and align them with MCL’s business objectives, with an eye on ensuring our business thrives for decades to come.
  • Cultivate commercial and value-exchange partnerships to deliver impactful marketing and sustainability programs.

Qualifications

At least a college-level education (degree), and demontrable experience leading complex, multi-product marketing campaigns, with a strong network that you can leverage to help MCL push forward its vision. 5-7 years of experience in a similar role. A deep understanding of digital products, businesses and marketing would give you a strong advantage: key word, digital.
