Mission
S/He will be working under the procurement Manager. S/He will be responsible to perform the following tasks under the supervision of the Procurement Manager and the Unit Manager:
- To supervise and implement the whole procurement process and all procurement procedures.
- To receive and process the Internal Procurement Requests.
- To implement the competitive bidding process.
- To finalize LPOs
- To ensure proper and timely execution of LPOs by suppliers ·
- To closely watch and monitor local commodity markets and regularly update the prices as they are in the market ·
- Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
- Purchase and issue order in accordance with specification.
- Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers (local and overseas).
- Prepare reports and summarize data including sales report and book value.
- Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey.
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
- Assist in managing and following up overseas orders.
- Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
- Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors when the need arises.
- Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.
- Negotiate for best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service) with suppliers and sub-contractors assigned.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Purchase and issue order in accordance with specification.
- To create and then maintain and update a complete and detailed database of existing and alternative suppliers ·
- Working closely with Stores Dept. to ensure optimum levels of inventory/stock; avoid over- or under stocking
Profile
Working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems. · Able to work independently, yet excellent team player.
· Good communicator.
· Good knowledge of computer applications: Word, Excel, Access or other data base programme (good knowledge of data base programme is essential).
· Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
