Special Responsibilities:
- Managing, planning, and coordinating the Company’s activities.
- Ensuring effective overall management and supervision of the Company’s activities.
- Overseeing the planning and execution of development activities.
- Directing the formulation of policy proposals for consideration by the Board concerning the physical and financial functions of the Company.
- Interpreting policies laid down by the Board and issuing internal regulations and procedural instructions.
- Preparing annual budgets for the Company and submitting them to the Board for approval.
- Regularly reviewing actual performance against plans, budgets, and standards, and submitting reports to the Board with recommendations to correct adverse variances.
- Establishing responsibilities of immediate subordinates and delegating necessary authority for them to discharge their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Making recommendations to the Board on staffing levels required by the Company and ensuring effective human resource management policies and procedures are in place.
- Ensuring that the Company’s activities conform to existing laws and regulations in the country.
- Serving as the final authority for management decisions within the Company.
- Safeguarding the Company’s financial position and ensuring financial obligations are met.
- Ensuring that all Company financial transactions are authorized and controlled following agreed procedures, with proper internal controls maintained.
- Ensuring that the Company’s accounts are prepared and submitted to external auditors within four months after the end of the financial year.
- Maintaining harmonious relations between customers, coffee cooperative unions, and other stakeholders.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Holder of a Master’s degree in Processing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
- Economics, Laws, Business Administration, or equivalent qualifications.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in a senior management position, with a minimum of four (4) years in the coffee management sector.
- Computer literacy is required.
Salary and Fringe Benefits: MSS 15
Terms of Service:
The General Manager will be employed on a three (3) year contract, renewable upon satisfactory performance.
