Position: Gender Justice Fellow
Location: Centre for Citizens Conserving Environment & Management (CECIC), Kasese, Uganda

Contract Duration: 3 months (renewable)The Centre for Citizens Conserving Environment & Management (CECIC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Gender Officer Fellow to join our team. This role is pivotal in advancing gender equality and empowering vulnerable communities through advocacy and sustainable environmental practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of gender-focused initiatives within CECIC’s projects.
- Collaborate with local communities to promote women’s participation in environmental conservation efforts.
- Conduct research and analysis on gender issues related to environmental management.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Environmental Management, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Well knowledgeable of gender justice issues and their intersection with environmental management.
- Preferably a resident of Kasese District, as this will be the project implementing area.
- Experience in gender advocacy, community engagement, or environmental management is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
