FUNDRAISING AND PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

Background

WISEHUB is an entrepreneurship support organisation that works with women and young people within the Lake Victoria region to build sustainable businesses that contribute to profits, people and planet. We provide Business Incubation support services, mentorship and coaching support under our sustainable livelihoods development program. Role Overview

The Fundraising & Partnership Manager’s main role is to develop and maintain relationships with funders and partners, and to secure new sources of funding. This includes; resource mobilisation, facilitate strategic initiatives, maintain good donor and partners relations and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

Job Description/Requirements

Strategy and Oversight

  • Contribute to development of Fundraising strategy
  • Implement WISEHUB’s fundraising program to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Research and provide input on funding and sector trends and identify opportunities to ensure the organisation is well-positioned to meet its strategic goals.
  • Track performance against Fundraising (Inspire) KPIs Participate on the Fundraising and Communications Committee

Resource Mobilisation & Events

  • Consult with the senior management and Program teams to coordinate, draft, and submit compelling and tailored funding concepts and proposals.
  • Research potential grant opportunities.
  • Prepare resource mobilisation and donor engagement materials
  • Develop concepts and proposals for new and existing donors
  • Ensure that proposals are developed to donor standards and comply
  • Organize events to increase awareness about WISE interventions and mobilize funds
  • Review and update WISE resource mobilization strategy and action plan
  • Coordinate WISEHUB events (as needed)
  • Look for opportunities for WISEHUB to participate in though
  • leadership events in coordination le podcast, panels etc
  • Represent WISEHUB at sector and industry events

Donor management & partnerships

  • Work with the senior management to strategically identify and develop Major Donors to secure Partnership Program partners/clients
  • Build and maintain pipeline of prospective major donors and partners.
  • Work with Senior Management to re-engage historic donors and partners of WISEHUB.
  • Support existing corporate partners.
  • Coordinate and assist the development of compelling cases for support and the submission of proposals for major donors and partners.
  • Contribute to the business development database and tracking of relationships.
  • Collaborate with WISEHUB and Communications and Marketing Manager to ensure we have effective partner journeys, care, and stewardship

Administration

  • Work with the programs team to ensure we have appropriate policies, procedures, and processes in place to maximise resources and impact.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the office and administrative functions.
  • Maintaining CRM database (etapesty)
  • Process donations and donor receipting
  • Answer emails and general inquires
  • Handle donor care

Reporting

  • Coordinate funding acquittals calendar and liaise with internal team to ensure to complete funding acquittals to all resource/funding partners.
  • Track fundraising income, administer all fundraising data and ensure accurate records are maintained
  • Contribute to Bi-monthly board reports on fundraising activities including pipeline, tracking against budget and analysis of return on investment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social science, Administration, Project management, Business development, Marketing, Communications, Public relations, and Nonprofit management or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in resource mobilization
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using technology for Resource mobilisation, document management and reporting
  • Sensitivity to the needs of women and youth.
