Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Front Desk Receptionist at Source of the Nile Hotel in Kampala. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for handling phone calls, performing receptionist duties, utilizing clerical skills, communicating effectively, and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and check them in with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Handle guest check-outs, process payments, and provide receipts.
  • Manage reservations, including booking, modifying, and cancelling as needed.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate guest information and manage room assignments.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, services, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Handle phone calls and emails, directing them to appropriate departments or resolving issues as needed.
  • Process and manage guest feedback, including complaints, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
