Scope of work

  • We are a leading logistics firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk officer to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of shipments through our hub, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP), and facilitating the efficient storage, coordination, and dispatch of waybill shipments.
  • This role requiresstrong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact, greeting and assisting visitors, clients, and staff professionally while managing inquiries about company services.
  • Oversee the receipt, documentation, and accurate record-keeping of shipment parcels from hubs, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Manage incoming letters, packages, and waybill records, ensuring timely and efficient handling.
  • Maintain a well-organized and presentable reception and work environment, including accurate tracking of visitor logs and office supplies.
  • Perform administrative duties such as coordinating appointments, data entry, filing, and preparing necessary documents.
  • Provide support in tracking, updating, and managing shipment and waybill records to ensure accountability and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of shipments to their destinations, planning schedules, and allocating resources based on destination and urgency.
  • Supervise and organize the loading process at the loading bay, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to operational procedures.

Relevant work experience/Qualification

  • 1-3 years’ experience of years working experience in logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • HND/BSC in any relevant discipline
  • Must have completed the NYSC Program.
