1). SEO Specialist

Location: Lagos

Responsibilties

What you will be doing:

  • SEO Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve the organic visibility and search engine rankings for Jumia’s English-speaking websites.
  • Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords for content optimization.
  • On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements to enhance search engine ranking.
  • Off-Page Optimization: Develop and manage off-page SEO strategies, including link-building, to increase domain authority and backlink profile.
  • Technical SEO: Audit and address technical issues affecting website performance and user experience, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with campaign managers to develop high-quality and SEO-friendly content that aligns with keyword strategy and user intent.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms. Generate regular reports to showcase progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure Jumia’s SEO efforts remain competitive.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and web development, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of the website.

Requirements
What we are looking for:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as an SEO Manager, preferably in the e-commerce sector.
    • Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and SEO best practices.
    • Proficiency in SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, ScreamingFrog etc.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and technologies.
    • Knowledge of the Nigerian market and e-commerce landscape is a plus.
    • Professional certifications in SEO and digital marketing are desirable

2). Offline Acquisition Manager

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:

  • Identify and engage with vendors in major markets, targeting high-potential sellers for the platform.
  • Get quality leads by better targeting in terms of category and areas to focus in order to get high seller lifecycle value
  • Validate vendor suitability by assessing their products and business readiness.
  • Persuade vendors to join Jumia by highlighting the platform’s value and sales potential.
  • Guide vendors through the registration process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Provide new sellers with the tools, resources, and support to succeed from day one.
  • Incubate the (lead to live) vendors for 1 month after live to make sure they are engaged properly. Making sure that vendors are properly trained and able to self sustain post incubation period.
  • Collect insights on market trends and vendor concerns to improve acquisition strategies.
  • Regularly report on acquisition progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize the cost/ active seller per channel

Requirements
What we are looking for:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage and convince vendors.
  • Experience in doing offline sales
  • At least 5 years of experience in offline sales, with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Familiarity with local retail markets and vendor dynamics.
  • Good analytical skills to identify trends and prioritize high-value leads.
  • A self-motivated and adaptable attitude to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and spend time in vendor environments.
  • Proficiency in sales tools, CRM systems, and basic Microsoft Office applications.

3). Offline Sales Regional Manager

Location: Northern Region, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • As Offline Sales Regional Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exponential business growth in identified strategies regions.
  • You will do this by steering the existing agents’ performance, carrying out periodic recruitment and sales drives of new agents.
  • You will propose initiatives and activities for the region that will impact business results positively.
  • Most importantly, you will manage the city activation expansion project that will take place in select strategic regions in the country. You will lead and manage the planning and execution of the field activations in collaboration with J-Force agents.
  • The Regional Sales Manager is expected to develop action-oriented reports, routines and processes with clear recommendations that will contribute to delivering targets across key performance indicators as defined by the Head of Offline Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of successful planning and execution of sales-driving field activations in collaboration with J-Force agents
  • Drive sales/orders according to the commercial category mix strategy
  • Oversee recruitment and sustained performance of strategic J-Force agents in assigned regions
  • Identify business development and growth opportunities in assigned regions
  • Support the capability, performance and growth of J-Force consultants through your recommended solutions that will provide the right price and product mix for their clients
  • Management of City Captains in the key regions.
  • Recommend actions to deliver incremental growth and deliver on all KPIs

Requirements

  • 5-7 years work experience in:
  • Sales and /or offline retail industry, team management and a proven track record of impact.
  • Building networks
  • Marketing activities including activations
  • FMCG or Telco industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly excel .
