What’s the Role?
- As a Staff Wells Engineer, CWI SPDC, you will be responsible for the design, planning, and management of completion and well intervention operations, with the full integration of the CWI Operations team and relevant asset teams.
- Preparation of detailed cost and time estimates, tracking of relevant metrics during job execution, after action reviews (AAR) documentation, well handover to production, and developing subsequent improvement plans.
Accountabilities
- Project Design/Execution: Deliver world-class design/execution performance by embedding continuous improvement methodology as the way of working and implementing full use of the Global Well Delivery Process (GWDP)
- HSSE – Integrate HSSE in the design, programming, and execution of well work on completion and well intervention operations. Actively promote HSSE and Sustainable Development (SD) in all activities and ensure compliance with business principles. Lead the technical and HSSE management of relevant service provider contracts and support the contracting and procurement strategy. Collaborate with contractors regarding performance, future plans, variances, etc. as needed
- Regulatory – ensure all Well Notifications, Combined Operations Notifications, Regulatory Permits, etc. are all in place and correct prior to the commencement of operation
- Support and foster relationships with other asset teams including subsurface, production, facilities, and construction. Support engagements with JV partners where applicable and the development and analysis of competitive benchmarking to drive operational excellence. Mentor junior staff in all aspects of completion engineering design and operations, and in interaction with other asset teams
- Design Completions & Well Interventions activities, sit within the execution teams for Completion & Well Interventions to deliver planned scope. Supervise and ensure Completion & Well Intervention programmes are executed safely and efficiently and that all company policies and procedures are fully adhered to
- Monitor offshore LWIV based Completion & Well Intervention operations. Ensure accurate reporting of all Completion & Well Intervention activities into the approved reporting medium
- Implement accurate cost monitoring of all Completion & Well Intervention activities both in the office and on the well site. Integrate and liaise with other disciplines to ensure efficient and effective execution of Completion & Well Intervention work programmes
- Mentor junior colleagues and support their capability development.
Requirements

- You must have a professional Engineer with a University Degree in a relevant Engineering or science discipline

What’s the Role?
- The Principal CSU Engineer will be responsible for the systemization, planning, preparation and execution of the Commissioning activities of all the different Projects in the Bonga OML 118 field, including Bonge Life Extension, Brownfield Modifications, new oil delivery and support for the growth Projects.
Accountabilities
- Provide technical expertise and deliver requirements for Commissioning and Start-up at the various locations in accordance with industry best practice
- Responsible for developing the detailed Commissioning and Start-up logic diagram (WEFS or fishbone diagram) & schedule in cooperation with EPC contractor, asset Operations and project planning
- Develop the Pre-Com & Commissioning procedures and plans including the activities at the module yards and the final commissioning at site. Ensure Discipline Technical input is included in the commissioning procedures. This also includes Support and advise punch listing of systems and closeout of punch list items
- Prepare the owner’s team Commissioning budget and manpower.
- Assist and contribute to the Flawless start-up initiative
- Deliver operations input into Front-end design/ concept selection with emphasis on commissioning and start up.
- Develop Start Up and operations skills and competency requirements
- Promote culture and behaviours of safety during all Completion and Commissioning activities through the Commissioning HSE Case (as part of Operations HSE Case), personal behavior and supervision.
- Select and implement a Completions Management system for successful handover from construction and finally to operations. Manage the Completions System ensure required staff have been appropriately trained. Develop and agree handover and acceptance criteria. Manage punch lists, acceptance documentation, site and technical queries.
- Apply the principles of Flawless Start Up, Flawless Project Delivery, and Operational Readiness and Assurance. Provide a measure of quality assurance, guidance and coaching on hardware systems acceptance and punch listing activities undertaken by the Operations team. Champion a “First Time Right” approach within the Project Teams to ensure a high-quality transfer from Project to Asset (P2A)
- Contribute to the preparation of the PSSR and PSUA.
What We Need From You?
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 15 years’ experience in upstream Commissioning and Start Up of major and minor projects portfolio including subsea and topsides asset engineering, utilities projects, asset modification and upgrade projects. Deepwater project commissioning is a key requirement.
- Experienced OR/CSU practitioner with good knowledge of Systemization, Systems Completions process, punchlist management and Work execution flow process.
- Demonstrable front-end (concept) engineering participation.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience in developing and reviewing various discipline (Instrument, Electrical, Piping, Mechanical) commissioning procedures, with ability to lead and drive the execution of equipment and facility pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and seamless handover to the asset.
- Working knowledge of project technical specifications, ability to interpret project engineering deliverables including P&IDs, PFDs, Isometrics, Instrument and Electrical diagrams and Datasheets.
