Freelance Motion Graphics Editor

Duty Station: Mbarara

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled TV Graphics Editor to join the post-production team in our Mbarara Office on freelance basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and editing high-quality motion graphics, titles, and animations for our video productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, Design and Edit Graphics: Create and edit motion graphics, titles, and animations using Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Collaborate with Producers: Work closely with producers to understand their vision and deliver graphics that meet their expectations and fit the station’s brand and style
  • Develop Conceptual Ideas: Develop conceptual ideas for graphics, titles, and animations that align with the station and organisation’s brand and style.
  • Create Templates and Assets: Design and create templates and assets for graphics, titles, and animations that can be used across multiple platforms.
  • Meet Deadlines and Deliver High-Quality Work: Deliver high-quality graphics, titles, and animations on time, meeting tight deadlines and last-minute changes.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Keep current with the latest design trends, software, and technologies to continuously improve the quality of graphics.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Two years or more of experience in TV graphics editing, motion graphics design, or a related field.

2. Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
    Proficiency in at least one 3D Application software (Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Maxon
    Cinema 4D)
  • Strong understanding of motion graphics design principles, colour theory and composition.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education: Diploma in Art or Multi-media studies or related field.
