Duties And Responsibilities
- Site Supervision
- Oversee and coordinate daily construction activities on the hydropower project site.
- Ensure work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor progress and quality of work performed by labourers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Workforce Management
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to workers and subcontractors.
- Supervise and train workers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance of the workforce.
- Supervise and train workers and tradespeople to ensure proficiency and safety.
- Safety and Compliance
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Resource Management
- Manage materials, equipment, and tools required for the project.
- Ensure efficient use of resources to avoid wastage and delays.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Quality Control
- Blueprint Interpretation. Read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Inspect work for quality and adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Address any issues or defects promptly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain detailed records of quality checks and inspections.
- Communication and Reporting
- Maintain open and effective communication with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports, including work completed, issues encountered, and any deviations from the plan.
- Facilitate regular site meetings to discuss progress, issues, and plans.
- Problem-Solving
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, including technical problems, labour disputes, and safety concerns.
- Implement solutions to mitigate delays and ensure project timelines are met.
- Assist the manager with tackling technical challenges that arise.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including weekly reports construction, site incident reports, work logs, safety reports, and material receipts.
- Ensure all documentation are organized and accessible for audits and reviews.
- Measure, check and record the quality of delivered construction materials.
- Coordination with Other Teams
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other technical staff to ensure project requirements are met.
- Coordinate with logistics and support teams to facilitate smooth operations on-site.
